It is said that when people are told they are going to die, they see things differently. That was certainly the case with me. I came out of the hospital and truly saw how beautiful the world was for the first time. How blue the sky, how green the grass. Everything looked more than real. To me, it still does. Hyper-real.
This painting is the third in a series from Glencorp in the green glens of Antrim. Rusty rooves are a feature of many of the barns in Northern Ireland, built in a bygone era and now falling into disrepair.
