It is said that when people are told they are going to die, they see things differently. That was certainly the case with me. I came out of the hospital and truly saw how beautiful the world was for the first time. How blue the sky, how green the grass. Everything looked more than real. To me, it still does. Hyper-real.
Coming home we stopped the car to gaze at these wonderful trees, so reminiscent of the dark hedges near Ballycastle, but with more light. We call them the “light hedges”!
